Welcome to Goldcrafter's Corner

The resident goldsmith is the owner, Stephanie Long. She majored in jewelry at Plattsburgh NY SU, taking her degree in Fine Arts from Mansfield U. in 1981. She started Goldcrafter's Corner in a back corner of the Old Jail Center in Williamsport, PA in 1989. From it's humble beginnings in 2 cells, it grew to 4 cells, then moved to the Warden's Quarters in the front of the Old Jail Center. When the building sold, it moved to 45 Washington Blvd. across from Lycoming College, growing into a gallery of fine American handcrafted arts and artists. In 2012 she moved the business to Harrisburg, PA, where it's handcrafted message struggled. Carlisle welcomed Goldcrafter's Corner at the beginning of 2020,
Custom Jewelry Designs
Throughout her career, her willingness and ability to custom design and create one of a kind jewelry has been the backbone of the business. Sitting down to design with her and her sketchbook is an experience, but seeing the graphite turned into silver and/or gold and gems, amazes people. And the process of taking old gold jewelry and turning it into something different, preserving the sentimental value while recreating it into something uniquely you- that is a talent given to very few. At your service!

Yes. After 37 years in business as an artist/goldsmith, I have stones. Semi-precious Cabochons, natural and undyed but beautifully cut examples of God's artwork, writ small. Precious and semi-precious facetted stones to be the highlight or the accents- stones you know, stones you've never heard of, stones you'll love, stones I love to bring out and design with. As the goldsmith, I won't hesitate to tell you when I feel a stone is unsuited to the design you want, but there are always alternatives, and in the end, you have the final say.
