The perfect gift for so many things! Founded in 1975, Hilborn Pottery Design is a Canadian company specializing in original hand-built ceramic designs of exceptional function and form. Instead of throwing a piece on a wheel, the pottery is produced using layered slabs that are folded, sculptured, and twisted to achieve a fluid vitrified form. Unique, durable, totally gorgeous, lightweight, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe!
Meet the potters
Roxanne Dombrosky loves working in the studio, making functional pottery with reference to history, but with some whimsy and unexpected elements. Most of her work is on the wheel, then hand-altered for individuality and an organic feel. I am drawn to making pieces for the home and garden, especially for meal prep and gathering at the table to share meals.
Bruce Fairman has developed his own unique signature colors and hues through the years using platinum, titanium, and gold. They give his ceramic pieces their beautiful sheen. Very few have been able to master this difficult method of glazing. Each piece is designed with simplicity and elegance to still draw attention to his signature glazing technique
Jodi Boyer is a local potter, who loves creating bright, whimsical dishes that are still perfectly functional. She explores different textures and glazes to create simple yet interesting dishes, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. She also teaches pottery in the area.
